Welfare

Hindu Communal Room

Until this year, there has been no official chaplaincy within the University—however, weekly worship services (aartis) have, and will continue to occur at the Bharat Bhavan on Mill Road, which all are welcome to attend.

This year, we are looking to found a permanent room for Hindus in Cambridge, to be maintained by us, which will contain pictures and/ or shrines of Gods and Goddesses, and will mainly be used for individual meditation/ quiet seating/ personal praying purposes within the opening hours. We are also considering holding daily Aartis at certain hours and odd-prayers on special occasions.

Chaplain

The university has a Hindu Chaplain, Dr Vickneswaren Krishnan. Dr Vick can be contacted at [email protected]. More information on the chaplain and the role he will play in the university can be found here.

CUHCS Welfare Officer

At CUHCS we have our very own Welfare officer, Akshat, who is happy to talk about anything at all. He can be contacted at [email protected].
