What we do

CUHCS is a fun and diverse society with a number of events each term, including poojas, entertainment, and learning events. We are one of the largest student Hindu communities in this part of the country. Whether you're looking to learn more about the Hindu culture or simply to make new friends, this society has something to offer to all of you. This year is going to be better than ever, it would be a shame if you weren't part of it.

Events

This term will be packed full with events. First up we have the societies fair on 2nd and 3rd October, this is your chance to find out in person what the society is all about. If you're interested, give us your email address and we'll add you to our mailing list. Then on the weekend we'll hold our freshers squash. Come along to meet the committee and other freshers, if you sign up to become a member we'll give you a complimentary goody bag. After that we'll have our first event, just for freshers. Come and join us for what will be a fun evening and a great way to make new friends. To mark the most well-known festival on the Hindu Calendar, 'Diwali Dinner' our biggest event of the term will be held towards the end of October.

Our biggest event of the year is Mastana - a charity cultural arts show and one of the largest student run productions in the country. If you want to get involved in this year's show, either as a performer or organiser click here or come to the Mastana 2008 launch party where you can learn more about the show.
